We have completed "Phase One" of the Alumni Plaza during the Thanksgiving Holiday (2004).  We have completed "Phase Two" during January 2006.  We planned on having Donor Certificates sent out at Christmas (2004) but we were delayed in receiving them from BricksRUs.  The Certificates were mailed in January 2005 with a letter of explanation.  We were waiting on more brick orders to be received so that the per unit cost of the pavers plus engraving would be low.  Instead of waiting until we received a larger number of brick orders we chose to have the Alumni Plaza done in stages.  We had the Alumni Plaza's  formal dedication during the 80th year Anniversary Ceremonies in October 2006. Phase Three was completed in April 2007.  We are sorry that this is taking more time that we had anticipated but response has been slow.  This will be a great landscape for Milby and it will be the only one in HISD.  Pictures of the First Phase are shown below along with pictures of Phase Two and the Sports Area.  All of the engraved pavers that have been purchased were installed on April 27, 2007.  Please note that there were 15 Paver Stones that were engraved or installed on that date.  Those Paver Stone not completed at that time have now been engraved and were installed on November 10, 2007.  This completes our initial fundraising effort.  We are presently studying the prospect of a second offering of pavers for sale.  The final decision has not been made. The Plan is to offer some a sale late in 2009.  Thank you for all of your efforts and patience during this initial fundraising effort.    (Updated 05/10/2009)
